Most clients see the best results from a series of three to six sessions, spaced about four to six weeks apart to allow the skin to fully heal between treatments. Your provider will recommend a plan based on your skin and goals at consultation.

Results build gradually as new collagen forms over the weeks following treatment, and the improvement in texture and tone from a full series can last several months to a year, depending on your skin and how it’s cared for afterward. Because collagen naturally continues to break down with age and sun exposure, most clients maintain results with an occasional touch-up session rather than expecting a one-time, permanent change.

Most clients feel mild pressure or a light scratching sensation, and a topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand for comfort. Your provider adjusts depth and pacing throughout your session based on your comfort.

Rejuran Healing Essence is a professional salmon DNA serum applied at the end of your microneedling session, formulated with 2% hydrolyzed DNA. Applied while the micro-channels from treatment are still open, it absorbs far more readily than a serum used on intact skin, supporting your skin when it’s most receptive. It’s a topical serum, offered as an optional add-on.

Rejuran Skin Booster is a two-vial system applied after microneedling. The first vial pairs 1% hydrolyzed salmon DNA with hyaluronic acid to support the skin barrier; the second layers in ascorbic acid, glutathione, and tranexamic acid for brightness and antioxidant support. Like Healing Essence, it’s applied topically.

Salmon DNA microneedling is traditional microneedling finished with a salmon DNA serum. The microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that prompt your skin’s own collagen production, and the serum is applied immediately afterward while those channels are still open. At Vessel that means your microneedling session with Rejuran Healing Essence or Rejuran Skin Booster added on.

Salmon DNA serums deliver purified polynucleotides, fragments of DNA drawn from salmon and purified for use on skin. At Vessel they’re applied immediately after microneedling, while your skin is most receptive, to support hydration, comfort, and recovery in the days that follow. The microneedling drives the collagen response; the salmon DNA serum supports your skin while it recovers.

This is exactly why timing matters. Applied to intact skin, a salmon DNA serum largely sits on the surface. Applied immediately after microneedling, while the micro-channels created during treatment are still open, it absorbs far more readily. You may have seen salmon DNA described as PDRN or as polynucleotides. Both terms refer to purified DNA fragments drawn from salmon, and they’re often used interchangeably. At Vessel, salmon DNA is used as a topical serum applied to your skin immediately after microneedling.

Yes. Because microneedling works mechanically rather than with lasers or other energy-based devices, it’s a strong option across the full range of skin tones. Every Vessel client gets a skin assessment at consultation to confirm the right approach for you.

Yes. Microneedling’s controlled micro-injuries stimulate new collagen and elastin production, which can improve the texture and appearance of stretch marks over a series of treatments. It works on the body as well as the face, and your provider will assess the area and set realistic expectations for your results at consultation.

Microneedling isn’t the right fit for everyone. It’s generally not recommended if you have an active skin infection or cold sore, uncontrolled diabetes, a compromised immune system, or a tendency toward keloid scarring, and it should be avoided during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you’re on blood thinners, using isotretinoin, or have a chronic inflammatory skin condition like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea, it’s still worth a conversation, since your provider may recommend a different approach or extra precautions. Every Vessel client goes through a health history review at consultation so your provider can confirm whether microneedling is right for you.

You can expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for one to three days, and your skin may feel slightly tight or sensitive during that time. Most clients return to normal activities within a day or two, avoiding makeup for the first 24 hours.

Avoid sun exposure, retinoids, and exfoliating products for a few days before and after your session. Your provider will go over any other specific guidance for your skin at consultation.
